And what a great time we had! Hehe! My brother, Russell, his lovely wife, Angela, and their two adorable children, my niece, Lily, and my nephew, Sam. They drove alll night Sunday and got here early on Monday morning. They were all exhausted, but happy to finally have made it. After they managed to get a few naps in, we decided to head over the bowling alley on base and take advantage of their dollar games. We had so much fun!
After we got done enjoying our game, and helping Sam and Lily play two games, we went to Shane's Seafood for dinner. They serve some pretty tasty Cajun food, and they loved it! Russ had some chicken and shrimp gumbo, and Angie splurged a bit and got herself a whole pound of crab legs! It was funny to watch Angie eat the crab, because it was covered in Cajun spices, and she was a mess! After dinner, we stopped at Dairy Queen, then spent the rest of the evening at home.
The next day we spent most of the day at home. Lily snuggled up to Pookah most of the week, and Sam chased the cats all over the house, but they all especially enjoyed spending time with their cousin, Dominic! We made a quick shopping trip to the Commissary, and then spent the afternoon making bread and pizza dough, and had a delicious dinner of homemade pizzas! We also had an Oreo cake for dessert, and it was all so good, we forgot to take pictures LoL
On Wednesday we went to Sci-Port, which, for those familiar with it, is similar to Exploration Place. As soon as you walk in the door, there's a giant piano. Honestly, we just couldn't pass this up!!
We found a domino table, and Angie and I, and another girl there, spent probably a good 45 minutes setting this all up, all for a 20 second finale, but it was awesome!
Thursday was another down day. We decided to do a cookout that night for dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs, with fruit pizza for dessert. Everything was super tasty! Sam entertained himself by chasing the cats around [it seemed to be his favorite activity while here!] and Lily did a little dancing! All in all, it was a great end to a great visit with them =]
